ARDefender is a Augmented Reality game that seems to be a load of fun.
It is a marker based camera view game. The target is to destroy an army that attacks a tower which you control using your iPhone.

Games Alfresco has posted a video on there blog about a HUD drive help system that uses an iPhone 3GS as imput device.
I must say that it is amazing what they have done.
De developers Chris Haseman, Zac White, Charles Ruelle, Arshad Tayyeb, Sid Gabriel Hubbard build some amazing stuff at iPhoneDevCamp3. Have a look at the video.
The goal of the application for the iPhone 3GS is to find the nearest tube/underground in London.
As one could expect, these apps will be made by every developer arround. I am hoping that one of them will start with an openPlatform version on with a 3rd party can plot its data for free via an SDK/API.

It was made using version 4.4 of the ARToolkit, created by ARToolworks.
The iPhone 3G S will probably be much faster in rendering the images over the video.
